Thanks to the spring part of the project „Give My Heart to the Children“ we were able to raise one million crowns to support seriously ill children!

In weeks starting from 11 to 30 April, 2016 the „Give My Heart to the Children“ project continued in 3,000 Czech Post branches. The project is taking place in the form of stickers and charity sales. In just its spring part, we were able to raise 1,084,590.00 CZK to support seriously ill children!

We would like to thank the Czech Post and all the kind people who have involved themselves with our project. The proceeds will now be used in benefit of several dozen seriously ill children throughout the Czech Republic, including David who is suffering with a tumor called „retinoblastoma“ of both of his eyes. Unfortunately, after intensive treatment on both eyes, he has lost both of them and is now dependent on ocular prosthesis. All of this is very financially demanding for his family. Treatment and proper development, however, requires further special equipment and now, thanks to the „Give My Heart to the Children“ project, we’re able to finance everything that he needs and support him.

Retinoblastoma represents 1-2% of all childhood tumors. It occurs almost exclusively in young children up to the fifth year of age and approximately one quarter of them are already innate. Annually, there are 10 new cases in the Czech Republic alone and approximately 5,000 worldwide.
